Animal claims and Equine claims

Most of us love animals and many people see their pets as part of their family. On the whole our relationships with animals are a thing to be enjoyed, but occasionally animals can become aggressive or behave erratically and this can lead to injury. Even the most ardent animal-lover will be aware of the harm that an aggressive dog can cause, or what damage a horse could do if it was allowed to escape from it’s paddocks and run loose on a busy road.

Owners and keepers of animals have a duty to prevent their animals from causing harm as a result of a known characteristic.

Some injuries will be pure accidents or may be unforeseeable but there may be others that have been caused by someone else's negligence, their failure to control their animals or by the behaviour of an animal, such as a horse or pony. If you have been injured in an incident involving an animal, you may be able to claim for compensation.
